Fabric Dyeing > Phantom of the Opera
Costume Designer: Maria Bjornson
Garments worked on at Parsons-Meares between 2004 and 2007.
The items show were primarily but not exclusively for the Las Vegas production.
Since this is a long-running production, for several costumes, the items were dyed differently depending on the availability of the primary fabrics. The Bows dress and the Il Muto skirt are examples of this. The dyed ribbons of the Bows dress must match the fabric for the overdress and the skirt fabric for Il Muto must go well with the ribbons that are bought. In my time at Parsons, the Las Vegas production of Phantom was both the most challenging and the most rewarding.
